Slate-ish is made from a scrap material comprised of layers of paper and resin that are compressed under high temperatures. Fabricator scrap and manufacturer blem sheets become our raw material.
The only other use for this scrap is waste to energy (https://tinyurl.com/bdz4um5r)
Our customers not only support small business, they also help reduce waste.

Slate-ish can be installed over painted drywall, plywood, and other flat, clean substrates.

Cuts like hard wood - no messy wet tile saw needed! We prefer a miter saw for easy cuts, and a jig to reduce the gap between the blade and the cutting surface.

We recommend either Clear 100% Silicone Adhesive for piece-by-piece install, or Titebond FRP mastic (with our tint packet!) for larger areas.

Silicone bonds to almost any surface. You can install one piece at a time, which means you can start and stop whenever you want to with almost no cleanup in between.

The trowel-on adhesive option is great for large projects, and allows you to install even faster.
